"What's riches to him That has made a great peacock With the pride of his eye?" william butler yeats
i love peacocks can you tell?
Townsend’s Solitaire
we saw a whole bunch of these on our way to elbow falls. they must be used to hikers because the sat for a long time and posed for us.
spotty peacock
kind of a traditional shot, but i like the polkadot look of the tail, and how well he blends in with the spring colors.
more peacocks
peacocks really are the most amazing birds. they look so regal and arrogant, but i think they need a bunch of little bird pages to follow them around and keep their tails from dragging in the dirt.
aint nothin’ gonna stop us now
i love the idea of something so delicate growing amid the rocks. instead of being overwhelmed by the hardships, it finds a way through and out into the sunlight, much sturdier for the effort than our pampered garden plants, whose every whim is catered to.
digory had to go in for a closer look too
sparrow in flight
i got a pic of this little guy just as he launched himself off the fence. kind of a cool shot, i think
peacocks
the peacocks at the zoo were in fine form today. i didn’t see the hens but the cocks where showing off for all the admiring people. i took about a zillion shots and will be putting more up in days to come.
