i loved the patten the snow made as it was melting. snow seldom lasts here. it just gives us teasing tastes of spring so far off as we are barely into winter. but at least we can dream….
fungi in the snow
i loved the contrast in textures. i’m more into capturing details usually than the big pictures. to me they have more “scope for the imagination”
sunset to the east
driving home from the mountains on a rainy day the clouds to the east looked like they were on fire as the sun set. oddly enough it was almost boring to the west. this picture was taken as we were driving at highway speeds. i was very pleased with the results as it captured the look of the sky on fire.
the light breaks through
it seems we’ve had nothing but rain this spring. a picture like this makes the storm clouds worth it
there is just something awesome about light breaking through the clouds, it seems like a metaphor of something, but i’m not sure what…
rainy day in black and white
it’s still raining so i took more pictures and i’ve been playing in photoshop. i liked the feel of them in black and white, somehow it captures the mood better…
rainy day
i was sitting at the table having lunch, looking out the window through the rain. i just had to try and capture what i saw and these are the result…
patiently waiting
bbq anyone?

the beauty of hoar frost
i’ve always loved the look of the world when it is covered in hoar frost, the trees leafed out in gleaming crystals, the whole world fresh and clean. before dirt and mud spoils its purity, the sight to me is breathtaking.
i love too, how the frost changes everything – giving a new perspective to the most mundane of things.
